Meet Kristy and Jamie. The recently engaged tell us all about the proposal, her ring and what awaits in 2024!

How did the proposal happen?

So, I organised a couple-shoot at the beach with a friend of mine who is a photographer down at Maslins Beach here in Adelaide. It was to help her out as she needed content for her social media and needed some models. Which I was all for. Off we went, loving an hour or so without the kids. The shoot was almost finished and as I was taking off my wet jeans in the freezing cold, Jamie said to the photographer, can we please take a couple more pictures? There was me with my jeans halfway down and impossible to get back up as they were so wet and sandy. But I did and I was like um why, didn't we get enough photos, but I just rolled with it. We went to the water and he dropped to one knee and asked me to marry him. The moment I had been waiting for my entire life was in front of me and of course, I said yes. I cried and now we are here in January 2024 planning our intimate wedding for later this year.

Why did you choose Shiels?

Jamie saw the ring at Shiels after many months of me showing him what I liked and it was a great price. It came with a wedding band also which then Jamie was sold.

What is your favourite part of your ring?

The ENTIRE thing! It's a statement and I love how it goes with everything!

What are you looking forward to most about married life?

I have envisioned my wedding since I was a little girl. Now I am planning the best day of my life (minus the day my kids were born). It gives me goosebumps and every time I think about the day I get butterflies. I am all about the details however I am trying not to worry so much because at the end of the day, I am marrying the man of my dreams and this is enough for me.

Congratulations to the happy couple. We wish you all the best for the future (and wedding planning)!
