Our Casio G-Shock ‘CasiOak’ range just got an upgrade. Get all the style and fan-favourite features of the classic collection in all-new Bluetooth and solar powered glory. Four new models are updated with the new specs, and they get a fresh coat of paint, while keeping everything that made the original design so great.

Being able to connect these G-Shock CasiOak watches to Bluetooth® means that their quartz movements can be tuned even more precisely than before. This is about as accurate as a timepiece can get, which is great news for anyone who likes to wear their G-Shock every day. It goes without saying that solar power is another really nice addition to this fan-named G-Shock collection.

Read on to find out all about the new G-Shock CasiOak Solar + Bluetooth Watches

G-Shock CasiOak Solar + Bluetooth Watches. New Bluetooth & Solar Models.

Overview:

What Makes a G-Shock ‘CasiOak’ So Great?

Officially, they are the Casio G-Shock GA-2100 Series. Unofficially, and more endearingly, this line is the CasiOak Series. The nickname derives from this collection’s similar shape to the famous Audemars Piguet ‘Royal Oak’. The octagonal case shape, and even the stylishly linked steel bracelet of the Swiss watch is recreated in Casio’s resin strap.

So, the CasiOak range is popular enough in the world of watch lovers for it to be given its own unofficial name, but the similarity to Swiss classics isn’t the only reason why.

While they feature a small digital screen, these G-Shocks are very much analogue watches. There’s a night and day difference between them and some of the more smart watch inspired models G-Shock is known for. That isn’t to say that CasiOak isn’t packed with features (more on those later), but a big reason they’re loved is for their modern take on vintage analogue timepieces.

The CasiOak is also one of the smallest G-Shock watch lines. Many love the bulkiness and confident toughness of your typical G-Shock. Others, not as much. CasiOaks provide a happy in between where you still get incredible durability, but the case feels a little more precise.

Introducing G-Shock's New CasiOak Solar + Bluetooth Models

Building on the success of the CasiOak range, G-Shock has released four new models that have been upgraded with Bluetooth® and Solar cell technology. With these additions, CasiOaks can now be linked to G-Shock Connected on your phone to sync to a more accurate world clock.

The new solar cell will soak up any kind of light, and use it to charge the electrical battery powering the movement. A full charge can be held for days, and you won’t have to worry about the battery dying and needing to be replaced after a couple of years. The usual CasiOak day of the week subdial has been replaced by a multi-function dial that can be used to change the current timekeeping mode of the watch.

Aside from these excellent new updates, these four models come in fresh new colours for you to enjoy.

The first model comes in an eye-catching yellow, balanced by a black dial. A great way to standout with your brand new watch. This particular model also features a yellow multi-fuction hand for a splash more colour. Unlike the other models, this yellow CasiOak has a lighter positive digital display.

A sleek all-black version to fit nicely with your everyday wear. This is the only of the new model to match colour with the dial, which has a strong affect. The digital display is also negative, which keeps the all-black theme in tact.

CasiOak in forest green, a colour that has been steadily rising in popularity for timepieces. The colour looks excellent all through the strap and case and works as a great alternative look

A nice navy blue for a darker, smart apperance. This is another colour that is really taking off as of late. Great for office wear, or anywhere, really.

CasiOak Features

Like any good G-Shock the CasiOak has incredible functionality. From everything to a stopwatch timer, to five daily alarms, to an automated calendar - your CasiOak has you covered. Of course, the new editions comes with Tough Solar and Bluetooth® capabilities as well. You might notice a 200m water resistance, which is excellent for swimming, diving or just about anything on land. This line of Casio watches also comes with a Carbon Core Guard structure, which is about as protected as a watch can be.

While you'd hardly notice, this model is 0.1mm thicker than previous CasiOak models thanks to the inclusion of solar technology. It also has a few more additions thanks to its Bluetooth® connection. When conencted to the G-Shock app, your CasiOak will be able to access more countries on the world time, and can be set entirely through the app.

You'll get everything that made the original line of CasiOak watches so famous, and more. The retro octagonal case looks as good as always, and we're big fans of the steel link inspired strap. Every some of the minor changes, like the day-of-the-week subdial becoming a new mode display, are welcome.

If you want a dressier G-Shock that you can still take outdoors, then the CasiOak is your best option. Considering the price, there's a lot packed into this new model. An impeccably accurate clock, diving and adventure buddy, and an impressive dress piece — all in one.
